Our office, 7450 NE Avery, is closing 12pm Friday, December 23 and our transfer station, 8096 NE Avery, is closing 12pm Saturday, December 24 so our employees can enjoy more time with their loved ones during the Christmas weekend. Happy Haul-i-days from all of us at Thompson’s Sanitary Service!

Just in case your little lights aren’t twinkling anymore… We found an Oregon recycler to recycle those little twinkle lights! From now through the month of January, you can drop them off for FREE at our Recycling Center, 7450 NE Avery in Newport, M-F 8-5pm for recycling.

We’ll be enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday with our family and friends! There will be no regular garbage/recycling service that day and our office and transfer station will be closed Thursday, November 24 in observance of the holiday. Bring in your old tires for only $1 (on or off the rim) Sept 24, 10:00am to 2:00pm, to the Agate Beach Transfer Station, 8096 NE Avery. No commercial, monster, or tractor tires and please clean the mud and gunk off before bringing in.

We are running routes on Labor Day, so if your regular service day is Monday, please put your carts out September 5th for service! The transfer station at 8096 NE Avery is open regular business hours, 9am-5pm. Our regular business office will be closed.

If you’re a Monday customer, please put your carts out by 6am on Monday for service. Thompson’s works every holiday except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
