Thompson’s Sanitary Service is offering FREE COMPOST, Saturday April 21 @ Agate Beach Transfer Station, 8096 NE Avery St. Newport, in celebration of Earth Day while supplies last, limit one pick-up load per person. The compost is from Pacific Region Compost, where TSS hauls Newport’s Mixed Compostables Material to. Hours Saturday April 21 are 9am-4pm.
As of March 1, 2018, our curbside Comingled/Mixed Recycling blue cart will no longer accept plastics #3-7 (number found on the bottom of the container) as well as shredded paper. The Newport Recycling Center has moved from the transfer station to 7450 NE Avery, Newport (next to the TSS office). New hours for the Recycling Center are Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm and the Center now has a recycling attendant to help you with questions.
